Who We Are
The Scotia Recreational Hockey League (SRHL) was created to fill a gap in beginner and beginner friendly adult hockey here in Halifax.
Whether you're a prospective player, spare, full team, or captain, you're invited to join our Discord community using the link above. Discord is an app for building communities. It's the first place you'll hear about sparing opportunities and league updates.

Summer 2026 Season
Our first season is kicking off on May 5th with four full teams.
- 17 guaranteed games: One weekly game per week, scheduled on Tuesday or Wednesday night at either 10:00 pm or 10:30 pm
- 50-minute games: Hosted at Cole Harbour Place (51 Forest Hills Parkway Dartmouth, NS B2W 6C6) Scotia Two rink.
- Beginner and beginner-friendly: You're expected to play clean and give some time & space to players who are learning
- Captain-led: Captains handle their own team's roster, finances, uniforms, and spares. We work together on key league decisions.
